Here's my write up from the "Field of Souls" album...

Field of Souls... Well, would you be surprised if I called it fantastic? It is chock full of great lyrics/melodies/arrangements...everything that Wayne knows how to do best. Why you'll even find Dann Huff lending his guitar talents to the album.

Also, If you've ever heard or enjoyed Wayne's "Watercolor Ponies", then you'll feel a certain heart tug for the album's "The Class of '95", which looks back to those "pony" days, but also ahead to the future. I'd love to know if he performed this for his son's graduation ceremony. Anyone know?

I particularly enjoyed the sense of closure that Wayne brings to the album. The first song, is the title track "Field of Souls", and the ending song "Blessed Are" features these final lyrics: "Blessed are the true peacemakers / With contentment for the fold / They cling to promises of heaven / Working in the field of souls".

If you like any of Wayne's other albums... you're sure to like this one.
