I started this one around 9:00 am, with good friend Ryan Earnhardt joining in a couple of hours later. Of course, there was the obligatory storm that hit around lunch, but that gave us a nice break. After the storm, it was full-speed-carve ahead!

With a total of 9 hours later, we'd put together one of my all time favorite castles. Why, I even had a lifeguard stop by who was absolutely convinced that there was a piece of metal holding the arch up. Nope. Time to repeat that often quoted saying: "Nothing but sand and water."

As a bit of a side note:  This is the only castle that I went out of my way to "save" during my week's stay. I installed four stakes, tacked a note saying "Please don't disturb - More work will be done on this tomorrow" and ribbon'd off a square around the sculpture. But by 6:00 am the next morning, someone had gone to the trouble of removing the stakes, and decimating the sculpture. What do you say to something like that? (Glad I got pictures)
