Though this sculpture was a real departure for me, it also illustrates a very important thing about sand sculptures.... you just can't take good pictures using a flash.

Shown here is a cat laying upon a giant cheese wheel. This sits atop a TV/Microwave which is then on a table. A small mouse is climbing the myriad of boxes and cans to reach that elusive cheese. 

My daughter Rachel helped me on this one, and the two of us got so into it that before we knew what was happening, we were working by flashlight. I took the above shot just on the off chance that I could alter the picture digitally to show the detail, but obviously it still lacks the necessary shadow detail.

I figured I'd get up real early at sunrise and take a shot of this, since it really did look neat under natural light.... but alas, someone destroyed the cat, and gave the main sculpture a side-kick causing much damage.
