On the first day of my "week of sand sculptures", I decided to build a castle for a little 4-year old girl suffering from stomach cancer. She's the niece of a friend of mine and I'll soon be printing these pictures out and sending them to her.

Though I've never met her, I hope that seeing her name on a sandcastle will cheer her up, and let her know that there are folks out there who are thinking and praying for her.

My son, Ryan, got caught in this picture.... at the bottom right. Working on that sand!  :)

 

I had just finished with the south side of the castle with Holly's name, when fellow carvers Stephen Frederick and his Dad, Wally, put some details on the north side.
