So, what do you do when you want
to promote one
of your
favorite
radio stations?
Why, you build a sandcastle!
Good friends Wally and his son
Stephen Frederick ventured up
to Daytona
Shores for a visit,
and I put them to work.
(Of course, they were
quite willing
to pick up a shovel.) |

Here's a finished shot of the 6 foot+ "Zandcastle". |

The work continues... |
|
Group Shot... Sandcastles sure can bring out the crowds. The Z
castle is on the left
and Holly's Castle can be spotted to the far
right.
I got a kick out of one passerby couple who thought that maybe Z88.3 was having
a sandcastle
contest. "Not that I know of," I told them. "but it's
sure a cool idea!"
:)

The complete Sandcastling crew for the day:
Wally, Ron and Stephen |

Ron, trying to get
his borrowed digital
camera working |
|

Stephen, doing his
"lean on me" impression. |

Ahhh... Stephen San!
Crane stance from
high above the beach.
Note: this is not
always necessary to
build tall sandcastles,
but it sure is fun! :) |

Posing with the sculpture. You can almost read the anticipation on
their faces.... they just can't wait to do another one! |

On July 25, 2001, the happy morning crew of Scott and Lisa wished me a "Happy
Birthday"
and mentioned my site on the radio. Cool! Alright!
Much thanks to the Z-Crew!
