I spent my time moving from group to group, dolling out some encouragement or advice. I was surprised to find that some, who thought they'd never be able to do anything, suddenly, when given a germ of an idea, blossomed into immediate sand artists. Doorways, windows, stairs.. all began to materialize. Even a dragon snuck in. 

And one group (Ryan and Ryan) even gave me some great ideas for the next time I get behind a carving tool. (Yes, even teachers can learn from their students). 

I've had many come and say they enjoyed the sandcastling experience. And others were ready to hit the beach. More power to ya! Lets go get sandy!

Incidentally, not being one to just let that 3 tons of delivered sand go uncarved...
